Welcome to your chance to take your creativity in the classroom to the next level! The CHCA Teacher Innovation Fund seeks to promote the most distinguished ideas for teaching and learning and showcase that excellence in a way that benefits the entire school community. For all the great ideas you’ve had, all the amazing conference sessions you’ve attended, and all the times you’ve said, “If only I had the time and money to do THIS…,” now is your chance!
Complete the Teacher Innovation Fund application and submit to the committee by the deadline.
All applications are inspected and reviewed by the Teacher Innovation Fund Committee.
Grants are awarded based on available dollars and the quality of proposals as measured against the funding criteria.
Since grant proposals are accepted on a rolling basis, all grant decisions will be announced after committee review, and funding will be awarded shortly thereafter.
Students are the beneficiaries of the work we are doing. Based on your deep knowledge of your students, how does your plan compel them to love learning and own the academic content? To what extent does your plan address a problem or an opportunity that your students face?
While promoting benchmark mastery, does your proposal address key fluency/skill areas that students need for navigating in the contemporary landscape—solution, creativity, media, information, collaboration, global citizenship fluency?
Are there studies that support your idea? Or, is your idea so new (and so innovative) that your idea is pioneering through the gaps of existing research and best practices?
What are the content benchmarks that your innovation plan seeks to reinforce? To what extent does your plan help to build cross-curricular collaboration, reinforcing your students’ benchmark ownership across the curriculum?
Is there potential for your students to benefit from your plan over many years (as opposed to only a one-time project)? To what extent is your idea replicable or teachable to other teachers? Is the idea presentable in academic venues outside of CHCA?
