Scoring Rubric

Want to know how your grant proposal will be evaluated? Read on!

These are guidelines only. Scoring will be used by the grant committee to assist in awarding grants. Not all criteria are required to receive a grant. Only 2 criteria are required:

 

1) Safety: The proposal must be able to be safely executed in a repeatable fashion.
2) Age Appropriateness: The activity must be age appropriate.

The proposal demonstrates a proven potential for learners to engage beyond the reach of a typical instructional presentation of the material.

The proposal lays out a clear and discernable advantage to student “understanding” in the application of content. Differentiated from traditional classroom pedagogies.

The teacher shows a clear inclination to design, manage, assess and redesign the instruction to maximize the benefit from the proposal.

Project Sustainability

Project Sustainability

Beyond being “doable” in the short-term, the proposal demonstrates potential for continuing student engagement over multiple years and shows great potential to be replicable by other teachers.

Theological Integration

Theological Integration

The proposal shows thoughtful attention toward the deepening of a Christ-centered worldview in classroom instruction and assessment, consistent with Domain 1h (Theological Integration) in the CHCA Praxis rubrics.
